Change Log - April 24, 2024

Script Prep Updates

Users now have one-click access to view and choose pronunciations from all integrated dictionaries. This is found by clicking the cloud icon next to any research entry on your Pronunciation Guide.
Users can now transfer and add all words from the Custom Character Guide via the Import/Export feature.
Users working in Danish now have one click access to ORDNET.
Further improvements were made to the threaded comments feature in the Character and Pronunciation Guide.
Known issues were resolved concerning character aliases.

Scan Occurrences updates

Users will now see a word count on the Scan Occurrences Tool.

Proofing Updates

Known issues were resolved concerning marking all annotations as pickups.

Script Prep Updates

As part of the release of our Character Descriptions Tool, improvements have been made to the User Interface of our Character Voice Guide.
Users can now access the Cambridge Pronunciation Dictionary as a clickable Pronunciation Research Guide search link.
Users can now export their Custom Character Guide as an XLSX file and Offline HTML packet.
Users can now ignore all occurrences of a character suggestion in the research list.
Users can now sort the Character Voice Guide and Pronunciation Research Guide by the number of comments made.
Further improvements have been made to the Pronunciation Guide suggestions list for scripts in Danish.
Known issues were resolved concerning opening lists of character aliases.
Known issues were resolved concerning sorting options in the Character Voice Guide.

Script Prep Updates

As part of the first release of our Character Descriptions Tool, users will see character descriptions auto-populate the character’s gender and vocal characteristics on certain characters marked with an AI tag in the research list.
Users can now export their Custom Pronunciation Dictionary as an XLSX file and Offline HTML packet.
Character phonetic and voice sample data will be displayed more clearly in the Character Voice Guide User Interface.
Known issues were resolved concerning displaying word occurrences in the Character Voice Guide.
Known issues were resolved concerning the aliases search function in the Character Voice Guide.

Proofing Updates

Known issues were resolved concerning importing DAW markers.

General Updates

Users will now have more transparency about what plan they are subscribed to and their monthly invoice due date in their billing profile.
Known issues were resolved concerning filtered views on the studio Projects page.

Script Prep Updates

Users can now add comments and emojis to the Pronunciation Guide and Character Voice Guide via logging into the project or on the sharable online (read-only) packet.
Further improvements were made to the Pronunciation Research Guide Capitalised Common category.
Further improvements were made to the Transfer Research functionality.
Known issues were fixed concerning the word count in the researched list of the Character Voice Guide.
Known issues were resolved with the Character Guide to view options.

Scan Occurrences updates

Users can now include character aliases in a single scan occurrences search.

Script Prep Updates

Users can upload pronunciation audio files for Pronunciation Research entries in bulk by applying a naming convention to an audio file (e.g. for the entry "Pozotron" in the Pronunciation Research Guide, the audio file needs to be named "Pozotron.mp3")
Users can now edit character entries on their Character Voice Guide using the pencil icon beside each character name
Multiple-character voice samples are supported on all exports
Known issues were fixed concerning exporting from the Character Voice Guide.

Users can now see a Source history for recorded Character Voice Samples

Proofing Updates

Users can now use the TTS Alignment Export format under the Import/Export dropdown. Click here for information on that feature.
Users can now export DAW markers (for all supported DAWs) to mark the start of each script page in the audio chapter files.

Users can now record multiple samples for each character entry in the Character Voice Guide
Users can now transfer all words from the Pronunciation Guide to their Custom Pronunciation Dictionary using the “Transfer all words to the PD” export feature.
Users can now pull all words from the Custom Pronunciation Dictionary into a project using the “Add all words from the PD” import feature.

Script Prep Updates

It is now possible to edit Character Guide names from the Character Guide page
Content from the Character Voice Guide Notes/URL field will now be shown in the Character Voice Guide Excel Report for both phonetics and character voice
We have launched a Custom Character Guide, allowing you to save commonly used characters and the corresponding notes for use in other book projects.
There is the option to pause your audio within the audio player in both the Pronunciation Guide and Character Voice Guide.
You can now use Forvo, one of our integrated dictionaries, to look up words in any language (rather than having to specify which foreign language to search).
Known issues were fixed related to uploading audio to the Pronunciation Guide
Known issues were fixed related to searching for a character in the Character Voice Guide
Known issues were fixed for the edit history and character voice aliases

Proofing Updates:

Users now have the option to set timestamps based on the book or chapter when exporting the Proofing Report for individual chapters.
Users can now export an online or offline version of the Pickup Packet for specific chapters rather than the entire script.
Users can customize their DAW marker export with the Include/Exclude fields.
The Proofing Tool will now display a warning message for scripts containing chapters in multiple languages.

Change Log - November 30, 2023

Script Prep Updates

Users can now play and pause audio in the Pronunciation Guide and Character Guide, allowing them to listen to only what is required.
You will now see both the character description and character voice notes in the Export Marked Script comment box.
Pronunciation guide export will include all words and not just those with Phonetics included.
Edit history will now be preserved on any research words removed and re-added to your research list.
A known issue was fixed in the Export Marked Script feature.
Known issues were fixed on the Online Pickup Packet.

Proofing Updates

The German proofing algorithm has been retrained and now will have fewer false annotations suggested for German scripts and audio.

General Updates

Enterprises and Individual users can now add a prompt to their accounts, ensuring the user has uploaded their final (recordable) script before their first audio upload to any project.
General UX/UI improvements have been added.
Various improvements were made to the subtitles export feature.

Change Log - November 15, 2023

Script Prep Updates

The marked-up script export feature now allows users to include a link to the recorded pronunciation entries for each word on the pronunciation guide.
Users can now see a full history of all changes made to a pronunciation entry, including who made the change and when.
Improvements were made to how users can change a pronunciation entry on their Pronunciation Guide.
Improvements were made to the Import List feature for the pronunciation guide.
A known issue was resolved with the Cancel Research and Update Research Word buttons getting cut off when the suggestions and research list are stacked horizontally on a user's screen.
The icon for Show Researched and Ignored words on a pronunciation/character suggestions list was changed for clarity.

Proofing Updates

Users can now select a pickup tag to add to any pickup with a single click using the "1 click pickup tag" feature.
Improvements were made to the Annotation Filter feature.

Change Log - October 31, 2023

Script Prep Updates

Improvements were made for how single and multi-word script prep entries (pronunciation words and characters) are counted in a manuscript.
Improvements were made for how the "Last Modified" field words with the Pronunciation and Character Voice features.

Scan Occurrences Updates

For any entry on a project's Pronunciation Guide, the recorded phonetic audio and text is now displayed in Scan Occurrences, allowing users to compare the intended and recorded pronunciations for a given word.

Proofing Updates

A known issue was fixed, relating to users being unable to scroll down in the proofing pane while the chapter audio is playing.

Pickup Recording Tool Updates

Improvements were made to the final naming conventions for exporting the recorded pickup audio files.

General Updates

Improvements were made to the UI localization for Spanish, Danish, Dutch, and German.

Change Log - October 17, 2023

Script Prep Updates

Users can now populate pronunciation entries into their Custom Pronunciation Guide (https://studio.pozotron.com/profile/pronunciationguide) which will auto populate custom pronunciation data for commonly used words not found in standard dictionaries.
The script prep features are now available in Danish, Dutch, and Finnish.
Users can now select "Norwegian" as an option for Forvo pronunciations.
The "Last Updated" field is now tracked for the Character Voice Guide.

Proofing Updates

Users can now automatically filter out certain types of annotations using the Annotation Filter feature, found in the Project Settings window
User Created Pickups can be added quicker by highlighting text and pressing any of the following keyboard shortcuts to mark a pickup with
- N - #noise
- M - #misread
- C - #charactervoice
- I - #inserted
- P - #pronunciation

Change Log - October 5, 2023

Script Prep Updates

Users can now use the script preparation tools for Finnish scripts.
The character limit for the pronunciation guide is now 100 characters.
Users can now select Merriam-Webster as their default dictionary for all script prep projects on their user profile.
Any notes or URLs added to a pronunciation guide entry are now included in the pronunciation excel export.

Proofing Tool Updates

Users can now proof audio projects in the Finnish language.
Users can now include narrator tags (e.g. @narrator1, @narrator2) in individual pickups through the Import DAW markers feature, which will tag that narrator in the Pozotron pickup.
Users can now navigate to the next & previous chapters using hotkeys CTRL + < and CTRL + >.
Users can now export DAW markers for multiple selected chapters (in addition to the entire book, or individual chapters).

General Updates

Users can now sort their My Projects page by Book Owner (in alphabetical order)

Pickup Recording Tool Updates

Users can now download recorded pickups for only specific chapters

Audio Analysis Updates

Users can now delete audio files in a batch action.

Script Prep Updates

Users can now sort the Pronunciation and Character Guides by "Last Edited".
Users can now sort the Character Guide by alias names.
The maximum character length for adding custom words to the pronunciation guide has been increased to 100 characters.

Proofing Tool Updates

Improvements were made to the Transfer OK Annotations feature.

Pickup Recording Tool Updates

Users can now compare the waveforms of the original pickup audio and the recorded pickups.
Users can now display the words spoken in the original pickup audio and the recorded pickup audio overlaid on the waveforms.
Users can now regulate the sound of recorded/uploaded pickups.
Numerous other improvements were made.

Scan Occurrences Updates

Users can now search, filter, and sort in the Scan Occurrences tool.

General Updates

The Pozotron UI can now be displayed in Danish, Finnish, and Dutch.

Change Log - August 31, 2023

Script Prep Updates

Merriam Webster has now been added as an integrated dictionary option, allowing users to get Merriam Webster pronunciations automatically.
User notes added to a pronunciation guide entry will now appear as a tooltip when you hover over the notes icon.

Proofing Updates

Users will now see a book language icon showing which language was detected in the manuscript and which language proofing algorithm will be applied to the uploaded audio.
A known issue was resolved with some users unable to reorder chapters.

Audio Analysis

Enterprise users can now create audio analysis custom specifications for their entire Enterprise to utilize.
Users can now see the total duration of uploaded audio on the audio analysis page.

Pickup Recording Tool Updates

Users can now sort or filter the pickup list by category, by user tag (e.g. @editing), and by approved/rejected.
Numerous other improvements were made.

General Updates

The Pozotron UI can now be displayed in French.

Change Log - August 9, 2023

Script Prep Updates

HowJSay has now been added as a clickable pronunciation search link in the Pronunciation Guide.
The maximum character limit for phonetic text entries in the Pronunciation Guide was increased from 20 to 50 characters for each entry.
Users can now search for any part of a word in the Pronunciation Guide, rather than just the start of the word.
Users can now import multi-word entries to the Pronunciation Guide using the Import Word List feature.

Proofing Updates

Now only book project owners and administrators will be prompted with the Transfer Ok Annotations prompt when a chapter is reuploaded.
Improvements were made to the Audio and Text Mismatch error warning.

General Updates

Users with Proofing permissions on a book project can now access Scan Occurrences and Export DAW markers.
A known issue was resolved for users attempting to access a shared project when the Enterprise dropdown menu on the project page was toggled to the Enterprise access, and the project was shared with the user's email (rather than using the Enterprise access feature).

General Updates

Users can now enable 2 Factor Authentication using the Google Authenticator mobile application. This is currently an optional feature, but will be made mandatory in future software releases.
Users with Proofer permissions for a project can now import and export DAW Markers.

Proofing Updates

Users can now report incorrect noise detection classifications to Pozotron by clicking "Report Incorrect Noise Classification" to help Pozotron improve its noise detection accuracy.

Script Prep Updates

Users can now change Pronunciation Guide entries by clicking the Edit icon beside each word.
The Add Custom Word, Import/Export, and Export Marked Script buttons have now been added to the locked header, so they will remain on screen as the user scrolls.

General Updates

Pozotron's Project Management feature was released, allowing users to create Project Teams for individual projects and add Pozotron users (e.g. narrators, editors, proofers, etc.) to their enterprise Roster.
Users can now delete books in bulk using batch actions in list view on their project page.

Proofing Updates

Users can now filter out annotations using the "F" hotkey.

Script Preparation Updates

A new field was added to pronunciation guide entries for notes/source URLs.
A "Last Modified" field was added for pronunciation guide entries.
A notification was added when a user attempts to add a word to a pronunciation list that is already found on that list.
New customizations were added to the Export Marked Up Script feature, allowing users to only mark up the first occurrence of a word, or only the Pronunciation or Character Guide entries.
Improvements were made to the "Add Custom Word" feature.

Change Log - July 3, 2023:

Proofing Updates

Users now use the "f" hotkey in proofing to filter out an annotation.
Users can now include or exclude pickups on their proofing page by user tag (e.g. @editing), inserted, misread, missing text, noises, and pauses.
A known issue was resolved when users attempted to add more than 17 tags to a pickup.
Improvements were mad to the Import DAW Markers feature.

General Updates

Users can now sort their chapter audio files by file name (A-Z and Z-A) on their main project page.
Improvements were made to various user messages and warnings across Pozotron Studio.
Improvements were made to support links across Pozotron Studio.
Improvements were made to the Upload New Manuscript feature.

Improvements were made to the Import Word List feature for the Pronunciation and Character features.

Users can now remove words from their Scan Occurrences list in bulk actions using the checkboxes and "Ignore Selected Words" button

Improvements were made to the transfer research feature for character guide entries.

Audio Analysis Updates

Users can now create new audio analysis specifications from an individual project audio analysis page.
Users can now use audio analysis to check that no duplicate files are present in the uploaded audio chapters.

Change Log - June 7, 2023:

Proofing Updates

Users can now cancel audio uploads in the proofing tool for the first period of file processing. Users can also request a processing delay to make their cancellation period longer by emailing help@pozotron.com.
Users can now separately control Pozotron's proofing sensitivity for word errors (missed words, added words, pronunciations) and noises.

Proofing Updates

The online pickup packet was redesigned and multiple improvements were made.

Users can now check their audio files to ensure the file names are only alpha-numeric (e.g. no special characters).

Proofing Updates

Pozotron now has a feature to detect duplicate file detection, which will prompt users if the same audio file is uploaded within a short time period
New options were added to include/exclude certain types of pickups from pickup packets (missed words, inserted words, mispronunciations, Scan Occurrences Annotations, and by annotation tags)
From a user request, pickups will now be numbered on the Excel pickup report showing how many total pickups are in the proofing report
Users can now switch timestamps between the start of the chapter vs. the start of the book on the proofing page.
Improvements were made to the Annotate feature in Scan Occurrences
Users can now mark all pickups as fixed from the project main page by clicking the 3 dot menu beside the chapter name and selecting "Mark all pickups fixed"
When Pozotron finds a large mismatch between script and audio files, the warning message has been made more prominent and is improved

General Updates

A Get Help feature was added, allowing users to submit specific help requests to the Pozotron support team from inside Pozotron studio
Pozotron rolled out a new Help Center (https://support.pozotron.com/helpcenter/)
Users will now get a Project Shared Successfully message when sharing a project

Proofing Updates

Users can now select timestamp type (from the start of the book or the start of the chapter) from the Online Pickup Packet.
Improvements were made to the Manual Chapter Creation function.
When dragging the audio cursor or typing in a timecode in chapter proofing, the proofing pane will now jump to that point in the script.

Scan Occurrences Updates

For 2 word entries in Scan Occurrences, an improvement was made to the count function.

Proofing Updates

Enhanced noise detection is now live in BETA Testing, Pozotron’s proofing algorithm will now detect all noise types that shouldn’t be present in your audio files.
Users can now filter which types of pickups to export in a pickup packet using the “Include” field on the Export Book Report screen. Filters include pickup types and users tagged (e.g. @editing) in a project’s pickup files.

Audio Analysis Updates

Pozotron’s Audio Analysis tool is now live in BETA testing! The Audio Analysis tool will allow you to test any audio file against your required specifications to ensure your audio is in compliance with your required specifications. For more information check out our website.

Proofing Updates

Users can now add the slate (pickup numbers) to the DAW marker export.
Audio file names for the offline pickup packet mp3s will now include the page number for each pickup, file format is now CHAPTER - H_MM_SS.SS - P#.
On the Proofing page, users can now filter the annotation list based on users tagged (e.g. @editing, @narrator1).

Script Prep Updates

Custom words will now be counted correctly, even for multi-word entries and entries separated by hyphens.
External Links for name pronunciations will now show on the Character Guide page (just like the Pronunciation Guide Page)
Users can now sort their Pronunciation Guide and Character Guide by incomplete entries first.
Online Pronunciation Packets can now be sorted by Completed First, Incomplete First, and Word Category (in addition to Number of Occurrences, First Occurrence, and Alphabetically)

Users can now switch their Pozotron account email themselves inside their user profile

Proofing Updates

Users can now select how Pozotron identifies mispronunciations as “who –> whom” or “who S/B whom” inside their user profile
Improvements were made for PDF parsing with ligatures, eliminating false pickups caused by pdf corruptions with conjoined characters like “ff”, “fi”, and “if”.

Change Log - August 22, 2022:

Proofing Updates

For reuploaded chapters, users can now transfer annotations that have been OKed in the first QC upload to the second QC upload for a given chapter or chapters, ensuring users don’t need to click “OK” on already OKed annotations in the second QC pass in Pozotron.

General Updates

Administrative Users for Enterprise accounts can now disable the export of online pickup packets for their account and team members.
Referral links for user accounts will now lead a user to a referral landing page with information about Pozotron and the referral benefits.

Proofing Updates

A common pdf issue with ligatures (where characters in a pdf are linked and cannot be parsed correctly) has been resolved.
A known issue with importing DAW markers from Reaper was fixed.
Text copied into the Manual Chapter Creation window is now editable.

General Updates

Users can now see time estimates for a project’s narration, proofing, and editing based on the script’s word count. These work time estimates are based on industry averages.
Users will now see an internet speed check in the top bar on all project pages, preventing poor internet connection from corrupting file uploads.
A known issue with advanced filtering by the Customer was resolved.

Script Prep Updates

The integrated Forvo pronunciation dictionary will now allow users to select languages (English vs. Spanish), accents (USA, Canadian, British, Australian, and more!), dialects (e.g. Castillian Spanish vs. LATAM Spanish), and speaker sex.
The shareable online character guide will now include character photos (if added to a character entry)

Each proofing page now features specs for the chapter audio file’s RMS, Peak, and Noise Floor.
When an annotation is marked as “Typo”, the word(s) included in the typo will now be underlined in green to show the typo on the main proofing page.

General Updates

Users can now open the original script from any page inside a project by clicking the “Script” button on the top right beside the Share button.

Pozotron now supports noise detection! Pozotron will detect and report noises for hard clipping in an audio file. This is the first step of many new types of noises we will detect.
The “Filtered Out” annotation filter now includes both entries labelled as “Filtered Out” and “Auto Filtered”.
