How to Create a Chapter Manually

Sometimes you need to proof something that isn't in your uploaded script! You can do this using Manual Chapter Creation.

Most of the time, you will have a PDF, DOCX (Microsoft Word), or EPUB manuscript that you are proofing against. In those cases, please refer to our guide on Creating Your First Project.

However, if you don't have access to your manuscript in one of these formats, you can use the manual chapter creation process instead.

This can be helpful if your manuscript is not compatible with Pozotron or if you'd like direct control over the exact text used during the proofing process.

From inside your project, open the proofing tool. 

  • Click the Manually Create Chapter button as shown below: 
  • On the next page, you'll need to fill out the 3 fields presented to you.

 

    • First, give the chapter a title in the Chapter Name field.
    • Then, copy and paste the text from your source that you need to proof your audio against. You can use CTRL + C and CTRL + V to copy/paste the text easily.

    • Finally, upload the audio file containing your narration. 

Your chapter will process as normal, comparing your audio against exactly the text that was specified in this process.
