[General](https://support.pozotron.com/helpcenter/script-preparation?hsLang=en#general) # How to Import Pronunciations & Characters From Excel ## This article will show you how to import your Excel sheets into the Pronunciation Guide and the Character Voice Guide. ### 1. Download Pozotron's Excel Template From either the Pronunciation Guide or Character Voice Guide, hover over the **Import/Export** button and select **Import From Excel.** ![](https://support.pozotron.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-23-2024-01-38-38-9492-PM.png?width=688&height=359&name=image-png-Oct-23-2024-01-38-38-9492-PM.png) This will open a dialogue box where you can download our Excel Template. Click the hyperlinked "**here**" to download it.  ![](https://support.pozotron.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-23-2024-01-41-32-1623-PM.png?width=688&height=349&name=image-png-Oct-23-2024-01-41-32-1623-PM.png) This will automatically download the Excel template named after your project. **Note:** - The Excel template for the Pronunciation Guide is different from the one for the Character Voice Guide. - Make sure you're in the correct tab—either **Pronunciation** or **Characters**—before downloading the appropriate template. ### 2. Fill Out The Excel Template With Your Research  **Pronunciation Sheet:** The three main columns you'll want to update in the Pronunciation Sheet are the **Word, Pronunciation, and Notes** columns.  ![](https://support.pozotron.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-23-2024-01-57-56-2009-PM.png?width=688&height=246&name=image-png-Oct-23-2024-01-57-56-2009-PM.png) - **Word**: This column tells Pozotron which words to import. - **Pronunciation**: Enter the phonetic spellings here for the words you want to import. - **Notes**: Use this column to add any additional information related to the pronunciation entries. **Character Sheet:**  There are two additional main fields for the Character Sheet. ![](https://support.pozotron.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-23-2024-02-39-07-9010-PM.png?width=688&height=245&name=image-png-Oct-23-2024-02-39-07-9010-PM.png) - **Character Description**: Provide details about each character. - **Character Voice Notes**: Add any notes about how the character’s voice should sound. Use the other columns at your discretion for additional notes.  ### 3. Import To Pozotron Once you have finished adding all of your details to the Excel sheet, you'll want to import it into Pozotron.  Again, click the **Import From Excel** option under the **Import/Export** dropdown from the **Pronunciation Guide** or the **Character Guide**.
