# Understanding the Maximum Length on an Audio File

## Our Proofing Tool allows you to upload audio files up to 120 minutes per file.

Before you begin recording, it is important to note that Pozotron Studio has a maximum length limit of 120 minutes per audio file or a 1 GB file size limit. 

This limit is displayed in the drag-and-drop section of the Proofing window in your Proofing Tool.

The reason for this limitation is to ensure that our software can process your audio files efficiently.

**Good to know:**

If you are getting an error message even though your files are shorter than 120 minutes, it could be because the number of words in the file exceeds 20,000 words, or the file size is larger than 1 GB. This can also trigger the error message. In this case, it is recommended to split the files into shorter ones.
