If you’re collaborating directly with an indie author on a project, you can easily share your Pozotron project with them. This allows the author to view progress, review proofing notes, and collaborate directly within Pozotron.
Quick Links
How To Share a Project
Step 1: Open Your Project
-
Log in to your Pozotron Studio account.
-
Navigate to your Projects dashboard.
-
Click on the project you’d like to share.
Step 2: Share the Project
-
Inside the project, click on the Share Project button (located in the top-right corner).
-
Enter the author’s email address.
-
Select the appropriate permissions (see below).
-
Click Send Invite.
The author will receive an email invitation to create a free Pozotron account (if they don’t already have one) and will be added to your project automatically.
Understanding Permissions
When you share the project with your indie author, they will be able to view everything in your project. The permission level determines what they can edit.
-
Viewer (Read-Only):
The author can view scripts, listen to audio, and see proofing notes, but cannot make changes. This is ideal if you want them to be able to view and approve things, but not change them. -
Researcher:
The author can view everything but only edit anything in the Pronunciation and Character Guides. This is the most common permission setting for indie authors. - Proofer:
The author can view everything but only edit anything in the Proofing tab. - Director, Producer, & Narrator (Full Access):
The author can view and edit anything in the project. This is generally not recommended unless you’re co-managing the project with the author.
Security and Privacy Notes
-
Authors can only see the specific project you share with them—other projects in your account remain private.
-
You can revoke access at any time by going to the Project and removing the shared user.
-
For more details on account permissions and privacy, see Pozotron’s Terms of Service.
Email Template to Send to Your Author
When you share a project, it’s helpful to include an email explaining what Pozotron is and why you use it. Here’s a template you can copy, paste, and personalize:
Hi [Author's Name],
I’m excited to be working with you on your audiobook! I wanted to share a bit about a tool I use during production called Pozotron. It’s an industry-standard platform designed for narrators, proofers, and publishers to help create polished, accurate, and high-quality audiobooks.
Here’s how I use it:
-
Character Voice & Pronunciation Prep: It makes it easy to collaborate on character voices, pronunciations, and notes to avoid errors during recording.
-
Manuscript Alignment: Pozotron syncs the text with my recorded audio to quickly catch missed or misread words.
-
Quality Control: It streamlines corrections and verifies the audio specifications, helping avoid any delays in getting your audiobook distributed on time.
I also want to reassure you about manuscript and data security:
-
Your manuscript is stored securely and privately.
-
According to Pozotron’s Terms of Service, manuscripts and audio files are never used to train external AI models, are not used for voice cloning, and remain fully under the account owner’s control.
You’ll soon receive an email invitation from Pozotron to view our project. It’s free for you to join, and you’ll be able to follow along with progress and leave notes directly in the platform.
If you have any questions about this process or how Pozotron works, I’d be happy to answer them!
Best regards,
[Your Name]
